Girl, 14, stabbed by schoolmate

THE stabbing of a 14-year-old schoolgirl outside the gates of her Derry school by another girl was yesterdaybeing investigated by police.

The girl received wounds to her arm and back in the attack outside St Cecillia’s in the Creggan area of the city just after school ended on Monday afternoon.

A police spokesman said : “She received three minor stab wounds, two to the back and one to the arm. She was taken to hospital and received stitches to the wounds before being discharged.”
