Full-flow Rabbitte outlines his vision of ‘the fair society’

IN Government the Labour party would introduce a Garda Ombudsman and restore the Freedom of Information Act, Pat Rabbitte told Labour’s annual conference in Killarney this weekend.

In his leader's address Deputy Rabbitte outlined a vision of what he called "the fair society" and attacked the Government for buying the election with the public's money.

Calling specifically for more community gardaí to counter what he called the climate of fear in our society, Deputy Rabbitte said.
