JUDGE Brian Curtin was last night warned that “time was up” to allow examination of his computer after a landmark Supreme Court ruling.

The move came after a constitutional decision by the court rejecting the judge’s challenge to the Oireachtas setting up procedures which could lead to his removal from office.

The Supreme Court found a select committee, formed by TDs and senators to report on the judge’s alleged misbehaviour, did have the powers to require him to appear before it and produce a computer seized from his home by gardaí.
