A VICTIM of clerical abuse centrally involved in pushing for a State investigation into Dublin archdiocese last night welcomed the publication of the inquiry’s terms of reference.

Marie Collins, who was abused by a priest when she was a young girl, said it was about time the investigation began, three years after it was first promised.

Circuit Court Judge Yvonne Murphy has been appointed the head of the inquiry, which will have a €5 million budget and 18 months to report.
