Probe launched after sudden death of baby girl

AN investigation was launched last night following the sudden death of a seven-month-old baby girl in Limerick.

The infant was taken from her home at Shannabooley Road, Ballynanty Beg in Limerick and admitted to Limerick Regional Hospital shortly after 1pm yesterday.

She was pronounced dead on arrival.
