CBS Thurles win all-Tipperary clash

AN all-Tipperary session of the Thomas Crosbie Holdings All-Ireland Schools Quiz took place last evening at Hayes’ Hotel Thurles and saw a very exciting contest between arch-rivals CBS Nenagh and CBS Thurles.

Nenagh took an early lead, but were reigned in by halfway and the more composed Thurles quartet stayed in front until the end to earn their place in the last 16 of the competition.

Result: No 136: CBS Thurles 108 (James Morrissey, Daniel Ryan, Frank Renehan, Christopher Slattery). CBS Nenagh 104 (Steven Stone, Darren Hogan, James Gallagher, Darren Scully).
