SINN FÉIN leader Gerry Adams was yesterday adamant his party would be involved in coalition talks after the next election - despite all major parties rejecting the possibility.

Moreover, Mr Adams would not rule out any of the four major parties as possible coalition partners for Sinn Féin after 2007, the likely date of the next general election.

He said the primary aim of Sinn Féin was to pursue its equality agenda and strategy for a united Ireland.
