Appeal for witnesses after male body found at seafront

GARDAÍ appealed for witnesses last night after the body of a man was found at the Dungarvan seafront in Co Waterford early yesterday morning.

“At this stage we are ruling out foul play, but we still want to hear from anyone who may have been in the general area of the Lookout at around 1.30am or later on Monday morning,” a garda spokesperson said.

The dead man was in his early 30s and gardaí said his name will not be released until all of his next of kin have been contacted.
