A 35-YEAR-OLD Co Meath woman, who has overcome a physical disability that left her unable to walk without assistance, is in training for the Dublin City Marathon.

Teresa Doggett, from Trim, plans to walk the marathon with a walking frame to raise money to send children to Lourdes. She believes her visits to the pilgrimage site gave her the strength to recover from a physical breakdown that left her housebound.

“During the very early stages of my breakdown, it was extremely difficult. Every day was just so difficult,” Teresa said yesterday.
