A FORMER garda has been threatened by the chairman of the Morris Tribunal with criminal prosecution unless he answers questions.

Judge Frederick Morris warned Philip Collins, who resigned from An Garda Siochána last year but is seeking to be re-instated, that he had until today to decide if he would co-operate or a file would be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions for disrupting the inquiry.

“I am not going to put up with this any further. I should indicate to you that I intend to inform the DPP that your performance here this afternoon and this morning has been such that it disrupts the work of the tribunal, you have declined to co-operate with the tribunal,” Judge Morris said.
