A FULL-SCALE murder investigation has been launched following the death of a middle-aged businessman four days after he suffered serious head injuries in a city centre beating.

Luong Ly Minh, the owner of a Chinese takeaway in Tallaght, died on Monday night after relatives agreed his life-support machine should be switched off.

Friends of the respected businessman, who has been resident in Ireland for much of his adult life, joined relatives at the family's terraced house in the Kilmartin area of Tallaght yesterday.
