AS desperate punters scramble to find that bet that will make their fortune at the Galway races, one super lucky punter is already home and dry after passing the winning post in style.

And he didn’t have long to wait or far to travel either to place or collect his bet.

Father of six, Frank Sheridan, has scooped €192,000 on an €11 accumulator bet at his local bookies.

The bets were spread over four races in Southwell and Sedgefield in Britain and all took place over a nail-biting hour and a quarter.

The massive win couldn’t come at a better time for the man now dubbed ‘Super Lucky Frank’.

The 49-year-old’s son, Stephen, gets married early next year and the extra cash will make the celebrations in his Swords, Co Dublin, home all the more special.

The festivities already began at Boylesports, Main Street, Swords, yesterday as he cashed in his €11 yankee and accumulator bet that he placed on Monday.

“I’ve six children, five boys and a girl, who will help celebrate this win for quite some time. I don’t have to tell you where most of the money will go,” said a delighted Frank yesterday.

Frank’s lucky bet involved a 50 cent each way Yankee with a €2 each way accumulator on the four horses, including Caitlin at 14/1; Tally at 10/1; Magic Box at 16/1 and Super Lucky at 25/1 - a massive 30,030-1 accumulated odds.

“When the first three horses came home, I was set to win €1,500 and I was delighted,” said the timber merchants employee. “When the fourth came in, I found I had made over €190,000. I was over the moon.”
