Peace activists call for facts on military flights

The call comes following revelations in yesterday’s Irish Examiner the Government sanctioned the passage of 28 Patriot missiles through Shannon Airport in June 2001.

Details of the controversial flight - along with other flights carrying substantial amounts of military equipment during the Kosovo war in 1999 and Desert Storm in 1991 - were contained in Government correspondence obtained by this newspaper.
