Opposition slams transport plan as ‘elaborate sham’

Fine Gael deputy leader Richard Bruton described the plan as an “elaborate sham”. He claimed the 10-year plan would cost every household in the country €25,000, yet the Government had given no details on when projects will start, how much individual schemes will cost, or how many of the projects will be public private partnerships.

Labour leader Pat Rabbitte criticised what he said was the complete absence of any evaluation for all the projects.
