Smoking protest set to spread

PUBLICANS in Waterford are expected to reject the smoking ban at a meeting next week.

Donegal and Kerry publicans have voted not to impose the ban while publicans in Cork and Galway are expected to back them in the coming days.

Waterford VFI representative Michael Fitzgerald said Health Minister Micheál Martin must compromise on the matter, adding that the ban was not workable.
