TG4 pulls report on greyhound row

TG4 last night pulled a five-minute report favourable to Paschal Taggart from its weekly programme on greyhound racing.

The video report of the press conference given by the Bord na gCon chairman last weekend was due to be broadcast on the half-hour Greyhound View, also broadcast on Sky Ireland.

The programme is sponsored by Bord na gCon and usually features greyhound racing. In an unusual departure, last night’s programme was due to include a segment on the press conference, said to be favourable to Mr Taggart’s stance in the row that has beset the industry.
