Pollution blamed for student’s death

JOHN and Phil Power watched their 24-year-old son suffer from cancer for almost a year before he died last August.

Seven neighbours in Cappagh, Co Limerick have been diagnosed with cancer since 2001.

The Powers, who farm in the area, believe industrial pollution is responsible for their son's death and the spread of the disease on the 18-home two-mile stretch of road they live on.
