THE final city first round quiz sessions took place at Jurys Hotel, Cork, last night when there were victories for Douglas Community School and Scoil Mhuire Gan Smál, Blarney.

A feature of the Douglas win was the 100% performance by team member David Winning. Douglas Community School proved just too strong for St Angela’s College and St Vincent’s Secondary School. The second quiz was much closer, with just eight marks separating the winners from the third-placed team.

Quiz number one: Douglas CS 120, St Angela’s College 104, St Vincent’s Secondary School 102.
