Bodies of sisters discovered

THE partially decomposed bodies of two elderly sisters have been discovered in Waterford.

The bodies of 90-year-old Hilda Culbert and her sister, Maureen, 87, were found in their terraced home at Thomas’ Hill in the city yesterday. The alarm was raised by neighbours who had not seen the sisters for over a week. One of the women was bedridden and her sister was her carer.

A post mortem carried out at Waterford Regional Hospital last night showed they died of natural causes.
