Minister’s brothers club together in record bid

HAVING been in charge of the country for most of the month of August, while other members of Government were on holidays, Education Minister Noel Dempsey is taking a well-deserved golfing break in Kerry.

The Dempseys, from Meath, have arrived en masse in Kenmare for the annual Brothers’ Golf Classic at the local course. There are 12 brothers in the family and 10 are taking part.

And, not only are they holding out hopes of winning the popular tournament, they may also merit inclusion in the Guinness Book of Records.
