TAOISEACH Bertie Ahern has promised a full inquiry into allegations of collusion in a number of high-profile murders in the North.

It is believed an independent report carried out by Canadian judge Peter Cory claims rogue gardaí may have given information to the IRA which helped the paramilitaries murder two senior RUC officers.

RUC Chief Superintendent Harry Breen and Superintendent Bob Buchanan were murdered in 1989.
