THE burnt body of a man located in Galway on Easter Sunday has been identified as that of a young Offaly native who had worked in Galway city.

Following the use of DNA testing, the body was identified at the weekend as that of 24-year-old Neil Fredericks, from Clara in Co Offaly.

Mr Fredericks had lived in Oranmore, Co Galway, at the time of his death in mysterious circumstances in woods in nearby Clarinbridge.
