Ireland ‘second-priciest holiday spot’

IRELAND is the second most expensive country for tourists, a shopping basket survey of 12 popular travel destinations has found.

Beaten only by Norway, the American Express Holiday Cost of Living Index reinforced our growing

reputation as a high-cost destination, revealing that the cost of the same goods and services has risen by 26% over the past year well in excess of the average inflation rate in Ireland.
