Dublin airport to employ 120 new security staff to minimise delays

UP to 120 new, fully-trained security staff will be in place at Dublin Airport by mid-June to minimise delays facing passengers boarding flights, management said yesterday.

Management said the extra staff had been recruited to address the impact of recently enhanced security measures at the airport.

Fears had been expressed that the upcoming peak summer holiday season could see chaos at the airport after passengers were faced with long recent delays following a damning EU review of safeguards.
