CRACKING down on bogus compensation claims and reducing insurance costs will be the top priority of legislation to be published before the end of the year.

The Government is also proceeding with controversial changes to the laws governing the Child Abuse Commission, allowing it to operate in a more effective and efficient manner and the tribunals, to deal with issues arising from the resignation of Justice Feargus Flood and other cost matters.
