‘Four in five parents fail to fit car child seats properly’

MORE than four in five parents fail to fit child car seats properly, according to a survey out today.

As many as 11% of parents have no car seat at all, while 12% are using potentially lethal second-hand ones, the survey by Mother & Baby Magazine found.

More than three in five parents “don’t know if they they’ve bought the right seat for their car”, while 55% allow babies or young children to travel in other people’s cars which have no car seats.
