Martin’s tirade betrays Fianna Fáil’s general election anxiety

ENTERPRISE Minister Micheál Martin betrayed Fianna Fáil’s anxiety about the next general election when choosing to launch yet another tirade against the opposition on the opening night of the party’s Ard Fheis.

He had been expected to give some indication of the changes he will make to the Groceries Order, amendments he intends announcing in the next fortnight.

Instead, he focused on Fine Gael, Labour and the Greens and ridiculed the prospects of those parties forming a viable alternative government.
