DUBLINERS, young people and men consider the crime problem to be less serious than people in the rest of the country, older people and women.

That’s despite the fact that the group comprising Dubliners, young people and men experience more personal crimes, according to a new survey.

Figures from the Central Statistics Office show that eight out of 10 people believe crime is a “serious” problem in Ireland, with more than half believing it to be a “very serious” problem.
