Driver sought in housewife murder probe

The 30-year-old mother-of-two was beaten to death with a blunt instrument at her home in Baldarragh in Dublin, on October 4 last year.

Gardaí believe that a driver of a Fiat Marea car reported to be in the area on the day of the murder may have seen something which would aid the investigation.

Detectives across the country have been visiting the owners of Fiat Marea cars in the past month in an attempt to locate the driver.

Although several people have been arrested for questioning, no one has yet been charged with the murder of Ms O’Reilly.

The alarm was raised last October when she failed to collect one of her two children from a creche.

When her mother, Rose Callely, went to the house, she found her daughter dead in the bedroom.

Her husband, Joe O’Reilly appeared with the family on the Late Late Show to appeal for information on the murder.
