Residents vow to mount blockades against traffic

RESIDENTS in Passage East in Waterford say they are sick and tired of traffic congestion and will mount blockades, even go to jail if necessary, to free up their streets.

The disgruntled families say they know exactly how the Rossport Five feel and are now asking the government to get the local car ferry terminal moved up river.

At the moment, many motorists are using the centre of the village as a rat run to get to the terminal.
