Travel agency closure

A well-known travel agents in Co Cork has announced that it has ceased trading as it was unable to meet its obligations.

The Commission for Aviation Regulation confirmed yesterday that it has been advised by Castaway Travel Limited, that it is unable to meet its obligations to customers in connection with the sale of overseas travel. The travel agents, which operated in Riversdale Shopping Centre, Midleton, Co Cork, held a licence from the commission which has been revoked.

A spokeswoman for the commission said customers of Castaway Travel Limited were advised to contact their holiday providers including tour operators and airlines to finalise holiday arrangements.
