Ferris apologises over medical card
The North Kerry politician availed of the free service three times since his election to Dáil Eireann in May last.
He described his continued use of the free service as an error of judgement. Deputy Ferris, who earns more than 100,000 annually, also said he intended to raise in the Dáil the issue of department guidelines on free medical cards. Together with his Sinn Fein colleagues, he pledged to campaign for greater equality in the health services.
