Lizzie in fundraiser bid to raise her spirits

FAMILY and friends of Lizzie Finnegan (nee O’Farrell) are rallying together to raise funds to ensure she has company at her bedside.

The gutsy Kilkenny woman is making a remarkable recovery in London after her sixth liver transplant. Now her friends are trying to raise funds to help her family meet the cost of travelling over and back to London to help keep her spirits up.

As the 26-year-old woman recovers in King’s College Hospital, London, from the nine-hour operation last Tuesday week, her sister Maria has been telling her about how close she came to death before surgery.
