TWO main contenders for the Labour Party leadership yesterday ruled out any future coalition with Fianna Fáil.

Eamon Gilmore who entered the race yesterday said he wants to build Labour into a national party that can challenge Fianna Fáil.

“It is not healthy for democracy that for 70 years we have had virtual one party rule with an interruption every decade or so to give Fianna Fáil a breather,” Mr Gilmore said.
