Up to €10m for city centre site

DEVELOPER Owen O’Callaghan has paid between €8 million and €10m for a riverside Cork site by the Opera House, for a retail, office and apartment scheme.

Up to €10m for city centre site

Yesterday he confirmed his purchase of a site bound by Half Moon Street and Lavitts Quay, which has recently had planning permission granted for a hotel.

Mr O’Callaghan has recently completed development of an adjoining quayside site, and this latest addition will allow him to stretch that hold from the quay, through Paul Street and on to Academy Street/Patrick Street where he is due to seek permission for a major retail development in late October.
