AN POST management is set to get a rap on the knuckles tomorrow from an Oireachtas Committee for their failure to outline details of 1,500 proposed redundancies to unions — five months after the plan was first announced.

Both An Post and the Communications Workers Union, the main union representing the 10,000 An Post workers, were due to make presentations to the Oireachtas Communications Committee tomorrow.

But the CWU informed committee chairman Deputy Noel O’Flynn yesterday they would not be attending tomorrow because the company had not discussed the viability plan with them.
