Punters may have to pay over €230 to back Doran’s pride in Turkey

FANS without tickets to see Eurovision hopeful Chris Doran may have to pay over €230 to support the Waterford star in Turkey.

The official Eurovision website has stopped selling tickets for the Istanbul final following huge demand. All individual tickets sold out in record time and only those prepared to shell out €115 to €195 plus a €36 handling charge for special tickets can guarantee a place at the final. The All Pass ticket includes entry to a semi-final, the dress rehearsal and the final.

Up to 300 Irish fans without tickets will have to wait for up to three days before the final to know if they’ll be allowed admission. It is believed many will travel in the hope they can pick up a ticket after the semi-final when some delegations who don’t make the cut are expected to offload tickets.
