IAN PAISLEY’S hardline Democratic Unionist Party could destroy the peace process unless unionists vote for nationalist candidates in the North’s elections, it was claimed yesterday.

Former SDLP deputy leader Seamus Mallon warned the Good Friday Agreement’s survival may depend on just half a dozen seats.

Mr Mallon urged unionists who support the five-year-old accord to put its future before traditional party allegiances.
