Travel agent Sean Power said phones at Harvey Travel in Waterford have been ringing non-stop since yesterday morning as the 23-year-old’s home supporters book their place in the sun at his side.

The interest has been phenomenal since Chris started making the cut ,” Mr Power said.

The second package leaves Dublin for London and on to Istanbul from May 13 to 16 inclusive. The Irish camp will be set up at either the Hilton or the Yasmak Sultan hotel in the capital and costs €659, plus taxes.

The mother and father of all home-comings is being planned tonight in Waterford.

Chris and his team are due in to Waterford by train at 6.30pm tonight and will be paraded through the city and on to a special Eurovision party at Ruby’s night club.

Waterford Mayor Tom Cunningham said he and all the people of Waterford are thrilled for Chris and his family.
