IF you feel you’re being shortchanged by the boss when it comes to days off, then maybe moving to Italy or Austria is the answer.

We get less time off than most EU countries, says survey

The average Irish working week is one of the longest in the EU and holiday leave is among the shortest. While most of our European counterparts get more than 30 days off a year, we're getting by on 29 including bank holidays.

Austria tops the holidays league table with 38 days off and Italy follows on 37. Ireland is second to last on a list of 15 nations. So, is there any chance of us getting a few more days off? Apparently not.
