Young yogis stretch for future health

YOGA can help children develop flexibility, strength and good concentration skills, according to organisers of an initiative launched yesterday.

The Yoga For Kids scheme aims to extend yoga’s popularity among adults to children, with free classes in Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway next month.

The initiative, launched yesterday by Ambrosia, will give children between the ages of five and 12 the opportunity to learn yoga poses such as Tree, Frog, Down Dog, Warrior and Handstand.
