Bosses of three teacher unions call on Hanafin to reduce class sizes

THE leaders of the country’s three school teacher unions have called on Education Minister Mary Hanafin to reduce the size of classes at primary and second level.

“There is a better quality learning environment in small classes because pupils have more opportunities to interact positively with other students and with their teachers,” the statement said.
