DJ swings into action for street children

KILKENNY hurling star DJ Carey has added his support to a fundraising campaign for the children of Calcutta after witnessing at first hand the horrific conditions they live in.

Yesterday he appealed for people to donate to the GOAL street children's programme after returning from a visit to the area.

"I have never seen such total poverty and neglect in my life I cannot find words to describe the squalid and filthy conditions in which these young kids live," he said.
