Two thirds of homes have computers

IRISH internet users have spent over €190 million buying online in the last three years while household internet use jumped 700% in five years.

Figures from the Central Statistics Office also show that two out of every three Irish homes now have a personal computer.

The report found more than half a million homes now have a computer with 80% linked to the internet. More than 1.3 million Irish people between the ages of 16-74 have used computers.
