Special day for youngest garda

GARDA Commissioner Noel Conroy will today make a special presentation to the force’s newest and youngest member.

The presentation at the Officers Club, Garda Headquarters, is to be made to ‘Garda’ David Moran.

Seven-year-old David, who is from Swinford, Co Mayo, suffers from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia and made a wish through the Make A Wish Foundation to be a garda for a week. This follows on from a visit by local Garda Brendan Walsh to David’s school and telling his class about the work that gardaí do.
