Teacher investigated over claims he sexually abused pupils

GARDAÍ are investigating allegations of sexual abuse made against a teacher.

The claims span a period of at least 13 years.

Detectives arrested and questioned the teacher after a former pupil claimed to gardaí that she had been abused by him over a number of years, beginning in the late 1980s when she was in her early teens.
