Can Sonia and Roy now graze livestock on the Lee Fields?

THE definition of Freedom. According to city officials, the freedom of the city does not now entitle Roy or Sonia to graze their animals in the Lee Fields — or rather, they can, but Environmental Officers might have something to say about it.

The notion of granting people the freedom of the city dates back 1085, when a city charter was granted to Cork.

Anyone born within the walls of the city had automatic entitlement to freedom of the city, whereas people living outside of the city could gain sanctuary within the city walls at times of trouble or invasion.
