Tributes were tonight paid to Independent TD Tony Gregory who died at the age of 61 after a long illness.

The Taoiseach Brian Cowen has led tributes to Tony Gregory, describing the late TD as a proud Dubliner, a great advocate for his community and a diligent public representative.
