Fine Gael members in Maria Bailey’s constituency have voted to remove the ‘swing-gate’ TD from the general election ticket.

A Fine Gael TD has broken ranks and said that Maria Bailey should not stand for the party in the next general election.

Senior counsel David Kennedy was hired by the party to look into the personal injuries case taken by TD Maria Bailey after she fell off a swing at the Dean Hotel in Dublin.

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar said he cannot commit to publishing the awaited report into the Maria Bailey 'swing-gate' controversy.
