The reasons for an overnight bomb scare at the Dublin headquarters of the Irish Republic’s RTE broadcasting network were still unclear, its director general Bob Collins said today.

Gardai said there were no explosives in the device set off in a controlled explosion beside the RTE mast in Dublin last night.

The Army carried out a controlled explosion on a suspect package close to the transmission mast on the grounds of RTE in Dublin overnight.
